Apple's long-rumored Reality Pro headset will be unveiled at WWDC in June, and rumors have been flying about the device for a long time, but now we seem to have a leak of real parts.
Shared by Twitter user Mr. White, who has an accurate track record of sharing images of Apple prototypes in the past that show the internals of what could be Apple's Reality Pro headset — or, at least, one of the many prototypes created over the years.
Images shared by Mr. White's sources show various parts of the headset. While some of these have glasses-shaped designs, it's hard to be sure this is actually Apple's upcoming Reality Pro headset.
On Twitter, a user pointed out that one of the parts bears some resemblance to the microphone array on the HomePod. While this could mean that Apple is using some similar parts, it could prove that this hardware leak is untrue.
Over the weekend, reports surfaced that mixed reality headsets aren't ready to launch, according to Apple's design team, but Operations, along with Tim Cook, believes now is the time for the world's largest tech company to enter the market Yes, even though the device is more expensive to begin with.
Rumors so far suggest that the Reality Pro headset will be very expensive, with a price tag of around $3,000, a Micro OLED 4K display, advanced eye and hand tracking sensors, and even allowing users to type in the air.
While it promises to work without the need for a Mac or iPhone , in addition to being relatively bulky, it also appears to have a short battery life, with sources saying it only lasts two hours with an external battery pack.
